Peacefully, with family at his side, at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband for 34 years of Margaret (Schrama). Loving father of: Jean-Marc (Laura), Veronique, Angeline Fisher (Alex), Phillippe. Proud grandfather of Travis, Lincoln, Nora and predeceased by Madaline. Predeceased by his parents Etienne and Lucette. Dear brother of: Lucille Hendriks (Andy) and Andre Vallieres. Dearly remembered by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by all those who met him and especially his faithful walking buddies Trixie and Fr. Grainger.
Friends will be received at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOMES, 49 Colborne Street ( at Clergy St.) on Tuesday, October 22 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, October 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Cathedral, Johnson Street, on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal with prayers at Resurrection Cemetery in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens.
For those wishing, donations to St. Mary's Cathedral Pastoral Caring or the UHKF-PCC St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by his family.
